Title: Trust Administration and Its Common Pitfalls:  A Primer on Administration and Avoiding Litigation

Description: Recognizing and avoiding common mistakes and pitfalls is a critical component of successful trust administration.  This presentation will explore the basics of trust administration with a focus on avoiding potential litigation landmines, including considerations in making distributions, duties to account to the beneficiaries, recognizing common breach of trust claims, and otherwise identifying and getting in front of any potential disputes or administration issues.

About our Presenters: Wendy Krog and Jennifer Mispagel

Wendy Krog is an attorney with Hopkins & Carley’s Trust and Estate Litigation Practice.  She provides representation in every aspect of trust and estate litigation including financial elder abuse, will and trust contests, recovery of trust assets, removal of trustees, accounting actions, and conservatorships.  Wendy has been practicing in the Bay area for ten years.

Jennifer Mispagel is an attorney with Hopkins & Carley’s Family Wealth & Tax Planning Group. She represents individuals, families, trustees, executors and personal representatives in matters including estate planning, wealth preservation and transfer, business formation and family business organizations, estate and trust administration, and probate. Jennifer has been practicing in the Bay Area since 2008.
